The link should arrive within a minute or two. If it has not, work down this list.
Check your junk or spam folder
This is the answer most of the time. Marking the email as not junk means the next one goes straight to your inbox.
Check the address for a typo
There is no separate sign-up for the TopMusic tools: whichever address you type becomes your account. So a typo quietly makes a brand new account at an address nobody can reach, and no link arrives.
Go back, check the spelling and try again.
The link works once, and lasts 30 minutes
If you have already opened it, or it has been sitting in your inbox for more than half an hour, it will not work any more. Just ask for a new one. There is no limit on how many you can request.
If you opened a link and landed on a page saying it had been used or had expired, that is all this is. Request a fresh link and open that one.
Are you opening it from an icon on your home screen?
Tapping the link opens Safari, which signs you in there rather than in the icon, so the icon looks as though nothing arrived. The same email has a short code in it for exactly this. There is more in Adding the Student Tracker to your phone's home screen.
School and work email
Some school and workplace mail systems block or delay automated email, and a few strip the link out of it. If you are using a school address and nothing arrives, try a personal one instead.
Still nothing
Email support@topmusic.co and tell us the address you were trying. We can see whether the email left our end, which narrows it down quickly.
